Your integration checklist.
Plan the journey before the request.
Confirm the contract
Choose a published API version and read its authentication requirements. Confirm your account permissions, the documented API origin and the exact fields needed for your use case.
Protect secrets
Keep credentials in your server-side secret store. Do not copy production secrets into examples, browser code, screenshots or documentation artifacts.
Handle real outcomes
Use the response and error definitions in the actual contract. Do not assume a timeout means failure, that an operation is idempotent, or that retrying a paid action is safe.
Test in the supported mode
A sandbox or test mode is available only when explicitly supplied by billing. Do not treat a temporary hostname as a test environment or run paid domain registrations as documentation tests.
Technical behavior is defined by the published backend contract. General guidance is not a promise of an unreleased capability.
